Mimi KirznerMimi Kirzner first started serving her homemade jams and marmalades at the Grilled Cheese Bar in her store, Kitchen Warehouse in 2010. Mimi, a descendant of the Cohn family line, named her gourmet food products after the three Cohn Brothers. After the brothers emigrated from Alsace to America’s South, they opened a general store in Lorman, MS, selling everything from barrels of flour to ladies’ hats. It became the center of the town, a place where people were able to purchase everything they needed to cook family meals and come together around a kitchen table. The store stayed virtually the same into the 1970’s. The building still stands today and Mimi has taken it upon her self to resurrect the Cohn family name by bringing family together over good food. Cohn Brothers currently sells Tomato Jam and Onion Marmalade with more epicureanproducts on the way. Cohn Brothers products are made with all natural ingredients and are gluten-free by nature. Cohn Brothers is serving up the good life, and it’s going to be delicious.

Summer Sliders Recipe
Deep South Magazine

"Louisiana Chef Mimi Kirzner’s roots date back to the 1800s, when her family’s tradition of resourcefulness began with Cohn Brothers General Store in Lorman, Mississippi. Her descendants sold everything from barrels of flour to ladies’ hats, finally closing in the 1970s. When Kirzner decided to debut her own line of food products in 2010, she named it after the general store and bounced from Alabama to Georgia to Missouri before settling in her home state of Louisiana."
